Havannah House Ministries Inc. is a Christian Centre owned by the Christian community of Forbes. It is a faith ministry which means there is no source of income except that of complete reliance on the Lord's provision. All connected with it work on a voluntary basis. It is a venue for seminars, dinners, luncheons, confirmation camps and meetings for all mainstream Christian churches in Forbes and further afield - Parkes, Condobolin, Orange, West Wyalong to name a few.
Accommodatino is provided on a short, medium or long term basis for those in need, either for support and assistance for young men coming of addictions or for those who are having relationship problems, domestic violence or abuse. Assistance is given to gain employment and basic furniture is provided for those who are sufficiently rehabilitated to be acepted in rental accommodation.
Havannah House Management works closely with the various Welfare Agencies which address community problems - DOCs, Police, Yoorana Gunya, Department of Housing, St. Vincent's de Paul, Women's Refuge, etc. It is an approved placement for clients under the authority of teh Parole Board for community service.
Each week there is a session of Praise and Worship which is open to anyone who cares to attend. One of the primary objects of the Ministry of Havannah House is to encourage unity within the Body of Christ so at all times every endeavor is made to work in co-operation and accord with other denominations and to encourage them, both as a group and individually to use the facility; to be a part of it and to benefit from the work that it does within the community.
